Working with parents to provide the best foundation for your child to grow is fundemental here at Sunbeams.
We work hard to effectively communicate and support all families to suit individual needs, this is done in a welcoming friendly manner as we feel working together creates the most effective foundation for children to strive.
Throughout the year we will host various stay and play workshops, events and celebrations where family members have the opportunity to join in with some of the exciting activities we deliver within all rooms of provision.
Parents are welcome to enquire about their child’s development at any time, but to further promote parental involvement parents evening sessions will be held twice yearly. During which, a learning picture for each child will be created to show what stage each child is performing at. Parents can also take the time to look at their child’s learning journey profile showing observations of activities and play experiences children have been involved in.
To support parents in having a more frequent insight on their child’s learning we offer online observations. through these parents can login to their child’s learning area and view weekly updates of play experiences their child has enjoyed participating in. This alongside our daily diary sheets allows effective and regular communication to take place on a daily basis.
This page will support us in information sharing on topics that may support your child’s development, upcoming events and any news we feel parents will have interest in.
In return we invite parents to inform us of any local news, events or topics that we can share; as we would be more than happy to do so.
Parent testimonials :
“Our daughter started at Sunbeams in the PeachPatch room. She has attended for only three weeks and has settled in extremely well. Having had a bad experience at a previous nursery I am delighted at how happy my daughter is here. After a day at Sunbeams my daughter is so happy (full of beans). The staff are amazing, nothing is to much, they are friendly, happy and always on hand to offer any advice. Staff aim to keep to home routines where possible and feedback about your child’s progress at the end of each session. They are always happy to take calls from parents throughout your child’s day and update you at your request. Monthly newsletters by the manager Jade being a fantastic way to communicate. Staff clearly helping parents to be partners. Stay and play sessions are offered which I would love to attend if work permits to see the fun my daughter has first hand. The food is loved by my daughter, she has tried foods she usually refuses at home and enjoyed them. I feel my daughter’s development has been noticeable, even in the short time she has attended Sunbeams. Anyone looking for a nursery, I will highly recommend Sunbeams as a childcare provider.
